Maine Gun Safety Coalition

In the wake of the tragic Lewiston shooting in October 2023, there was renewed and increased enthusiasm to enact commonsense gun safety reforms in the State.

The Resurgam Group organized and led a coalition of gun violence survivors, advocates, law enforcement, and health care providers to effectively move Maine’s gun safety policy forward. Our efforts galvanized support for foundational legislation including background checks and waiting periods. We were proud to help bring these hard-won and politically challenging reforms to fruition.

Offshore Wind Procurement

When the federal government established the need for a significant increase in offshore wind energy production by 2030, the Gulf of Maine was identified as a prime spot for a wind farm project and opened to bids.

In partnership with a diverse coalition, The Resurgam Group spearheaded legislative efforts to ensure that this tremendous opportunity to grow our economy and tackle climate change head-on included a just transition to our renewable energy future.
